In response to the current pandemic, our office will strictly implement these procedures and protocols issued by the American Dental Association to safeguard the health and safety of our patients and staffs.
Pre-appointment health screening will be conducted over the phone prior to the visit.
Our front desk staffs will all be in proper PPE’s. Upon entering our office, patients will be given hand sanitizer. They will be asked to keep facial covering or mask on before entering the treatment rooms. A forehead infrared temperature check will be performed by our staff at this point.
In-office health screening will be repeated to update patients current health status.
After being seated, patients could remove the facial covering or masks and use antiseptic mouthrinse before x-rays and dental procedures are initiated.
All the office staffs will be in full PPE upon entering the treatment rooms and throughout the consultation and dental procedure. The medical-grade air purifier with UV disinfection light will be turn on to disinfect and sanitize the circulating in-room air.
When finished, before patients are ready to leave the treatment rooms, they will be provided antiseptic mouth rinse and facial covering or mask will be put on before exiting the treatment room.
After the procedure, the treatment room and all working surface areas will be sprayed down with medical virucidal disinfectant solution. The disposable coverings on the dental delivery unit will be remove and discarded. The UV-C germicidal lamp unit will be remotely turned on to initiate the 15-minute full-spectrum UV light disinfection process.
All the front desk patient encounter areas will be disinfected with 70% iso-propyl alcohol spray followed by handheld UV disinfection wand.
All the entry doors and in-office door handles will be disinfected after each usage. The reception area and restroom will also be disinfected with 70% iso-propyl alcohol and the UV-C lamp disinfection unit for 15 minutes duration.
Our front desk staffs will also maintain proper PPE’s at all time. There are medical-grade air purifiers with UV disinfection unit placed in all the open areas to disinfect the circulating in-office air.
Since we only schedule one patient at a time. these processes of disinfection would be more controllable and predictable compared to the scale that large busy practices have to face. The time and effort spent to execute these steps will undoubtedly provide peace of mind to all of us during this unprecedented period.
