Happy April everyone,

Hope you and your family have been doing well! It’s been almost four years since the pandemic started. As Covid-19 became less impactful, common flu cases are still lingering in the community. So we still remain cautiously optimistic while navigate through the new norm. We are truly blessed and very confident to continue providing quality dental care to our patients.

With the rampant inflation, the cost of living has skyrocketed. We understand the financial difficulty that many patients are experiencing. Therefore we have not raised the fees for our services in the last four years despite the rising cost with all the supplies and operating expenses.

Since March 2023, we have implemented a new office fee policy that all patients, regardless of their “in or out of network” status, will have the same fee schedule for the services we provide. This will apply to all NEW and EXISTING patients.

Most  insurance companies promote and conduct preferential treatment and better fee for only the IN-network subscribers and care providers. We feel that it is unethical and unjustified to enforce such discriminating policies. Therefore we elected to have a standardized fee schedule for ALL PPO insurance subscribers.

In other words, when you become a patient in our practice, your share of cost will always be the same regardless if you are IN or OUT of the network.

Our goal is to help alleviating the unnecessary financial burden for our patients during this economic downtime. We hope that it will promote a peace of mind so that there will have no concern about any surprised financial obligation because the insurance policy stated differently for each network. Life doesn’t have to be too complicated.

As the practice evolved over the last 32 years, our mission has shifted to more problem prevention and maintenance of healthy oral structures. In our mind, dental work should be delivered on a necessity base. Unlike many retail businesses, our staffs are not taught nor trained to sell ANYTHING. Frequently enough, we discourage patients to seek for impractical and expensive procedures that can result in side effects and cause irreversible damages.

Unlike the large corporate dental practices, we only have a few staffs to accommodate a limited number of patients each week.  But we are truly grateful to have many wonderful patients visiting us every year. We appreciate and cherish each encounter. We enjoy meeting great people and we strive to provide the most positive and pleasant experience for each patient. We look forward to continue providing comfortable and essential dental care to all the existing patients and new local residents. Thank you all for the continuing patronage.

As a 57 year old dental professional for over 32 years of practice, I have been blessed to have no restoration and excellent periodontal condition in my mouth. I do what I preach everyday because I believe that good quality of life and health come from daily maintenance. We are what we eat and the ability to chew plays a crucial role in our overall health.

Hygiene is the foundation of good oral health. With proper hygiene maintenance, there would usually be no need for any dental treatment! After more than three decades of practicing general dentistry, orthodontics, periodontics, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, cosmetic and implant surgery, our mission strives to educate and assist patients to become the  best dental version of themselves!

Quality control has always been a challenge in many practices. For large group practices that employ multiple associate dentists, it’s quite challenging for one owner dentist to oversee and keep track of the treatment quality of each associate. The contracted in-house specialists routinely travel between different practices. As independent contractors, they are less inclined to oversee their responsibilities due to their non-ownership status. The large number of staffs often have mixed and overlapped  duties where certain tasks might often become overlooked.  This predisposition could easily lead to miscommunication and complaints resulted in poor patient rapports. After running three practices concurrently for eight years, we realized that it would be more beneficial to consolidate all  the practices into one so we can focus on the quality control of our service.

Developing a trusting and long-termed relationship with our patients have always been our top priority. We don’t rush through any procedures and only ONE patient is scheduled at any given time. While Covid-19 is slowing down, our practice philosophy still adhere to the social distancing guidelines and infection control protocols. It takes a fair amount of time for a dentist to provide a thorough consultation or perform good quality treatment. Moreover, sufficient amount of time is also required for the staffs to disinfect, sanitize and setup for the next patient.

Dentistry is just like an artwork that requires adequate time with devoted attention to details in order to cultivate great results. Having that concept in mind, dental visits can be delivered in a rather comfortable and pleasant manner.

After a long journey of practicing in Anaheim, Irvine, Hacienda Heights, Alhambra and fourteen more years in San Gabriel . In 2018, we finally settled down in the city of Arcadia. It was a blessing to have found a spacious and modernized facility in a quiet section of the community. The access to freeways 10, 605 and 210 is just around 10 minutes.

It is a new year with things going back to normal. Wish all of you have a joyful and exciting 2024 with your family and loved ones.

Routinely and in the beginning, he would apply Vaseline on your lips to prevent dryness. His staff is also very gentle to dab your face frequently with tissue paper.
